Folks – a little bit more patience, please…. still more patience… ;-)
I am still working on the WordPress-based engine for this website to give you the best possible experience during the next months and make it as userfriendly and informative as possible.
Just implemented another powerful plugin that will give you the opportunity to review/rate the programs that we will review here and provides all the review information in a nice and easy to understand format.
As usual power comes with a certain degree of complexity, since I have to integrate that plugin with the theme (the design template) of the site and the multilingual plugin, so this will take a little time.
Please expect the site to change its appearance every couple of hours during the next days. Content will start flooding in somewhen during next week.
Well, yes, I know – there is not much content yet here to translate. Thats why. ;-)
I was postponing the decision to go multilingual or not for quite some time, and did not want to add content before that was decided and implemented.
More languages mean larger audience. And more work. But the ability to write posts in my native language as well (I was born as a German…). But also less stable database. And more plugins that can mess up the site… More trouble when updating. And – so – forth… Oh my.
Finally I decided to go for it.
Found the WPML-Plugin, that SEEMS to be a rather mature and easy to handle solution. Installed it, configured it, and now we can FINALLY get started here.
As you can see, we are back. Some of you will remember the site went down a couple of weeks ago. Actually the server got hijacked by some criminals who abused it for sending spam. Very funny. And incidentally, the database with our “old” articles got screwed as well.
So here we are – clean slate, new life, new programs.
