Is there the "one" program for any purpose?
The answer is of course a clear and loud "NO".
People are different, their tasks are diffent, their way of working and thinking is different. So is their way of using their Mac.
So why this site?
Why the claim to offer "the" single best solution for everything?
It is not just a bold marketing claim to catch visitors. Well, ok, it is that as well... But there is a more honorable motivation behind it as well.
There IS a single-best application for everything you can do with a Mac.
Contradiction? No.
Point is simple: the more advanced a person and her/his computer skills are, the more they will have their own way with everything.
They will become more picky, they will develop individual strategies and workflows. They will experiment. And they will try different programs to do the same thing and finally stick with THEIR favorite solution.
At that point, they will have become "pro's". Or "powerusers", at least.
But what about the rest of us? Those just starting out? Those who are great at making cool graphics, but have no idea about the internals of a computer or - even worse - the operating system? And don't want to have an idea about that techie stuff.
All the good people who's main reason for buying a Mac is that the Mac-mouse has ONE button, because they never got the hang of right-clicking and left-clicking and double-clicking in Windoze?
All those who's primary motivation in using a Mac is the beauty of SIMPLICITY.
They want stuff that is simple, beautiful, and does what it is supposed to do.
They don't give a fly*bleeep* f*bleep* if there is a different project management software with slightly better handling of recurring tasks. What for?
They want ONE application to keep track of their todo's.
For this kind of people (the majority of Mac users, actually) we made this site. Most likely, for YOU.
Consider it a starting point.
You simply can't go "wrong" if you use the apps recommended on our site. They ARE the best for any beginner or intermediate user. And for many professionals as well.
There is no crap here, and no overprized feature-bloated monstrosities which nobody needs.
There are only programs which are worth their prize (if any) and do their jobs the best way possible.
You can stay with them forever.
Or you go "advanced" one day, start experimenting, and start doing it your own way. No need to do so - but why not. PC users spend most of their lifes trying to find the right software. Or the right operating system. *lol*
We just give you the best Mac to get started with. And get your tasks done.
If we accomplish that, we are happy.
And so will be you.
